Question #1 – I would like to have my soon to be sister-in-law read a poem during our ceremony. My fiancee said that because we are getting married outside of a church this could not happen. Is this true or is he trying to keep the ceremony as short as possible by not allowing this to happen?

Question #2 – My daughter from a previous relationship is going to be my Maid of Honor – she will be 9 when the wedding occurs. Should we still have her walk the processional with the Best Man who is 31?

Sly Groom! Not! have her read the poem. What I would do for your 9 year old daughter is have her walk down the aisle just before you, by herself. The best man can stand with the Sly Groom!
