According to Socialmedia Today, videos are continuing their upward ascent in the social media toolbox. In particular: video shorts. Can you believe that 100 hours of video are uploaded to You Tube every hour? For brands, however, the newest opportunities come from applications such as Vine, with its 6-seconds video capabilities, and Instagram, with its 15-seconds video capabilities complete with filters and integration within Facebook.
Videos (along with blogs & podcasts) were indeed already identified as the hot marketing trends to look out for. More companies are embracing these short videos as quick, inexpensive and efficient ways to tell their story. In fact, The Wedding Guys were early adopters, using Vine to broadcast footage of the exclusive fashion shows from New York’s Couture Bridal Fashion Week. While these shows are by invitation only, the fans of The Wedding Guys could virtually ‘tag along’ to see the latest styles walking the runways.

Without a doubt, this is one trend we can expect to grow in 2014. If pictures tell a 1,000 words, videos can tell a million in 6 to 12 seconds!
