As an integral part of our twice-annual trip to New York City for Couture Bridal Fashion Week we are always on the search for a collection that catches our eyes and speaks to the forward movement of design in the bridal fashion industry. It’s a designer’s collection that stops us in our tracks. As curators of trends, and helping to endorse what “Can Be” in bridal fashion, we understand that sometimes we need to encourage brides to think outside of the box. Designers too often walk a fine line between what sells, and what is truly innovative design – not afraid to put their name on the line and stand steadfast in their vision. Here is our pick for Emerging Designer at New York Couture Bridal Fashion Week – Fall 2017.
ISABELLE ARMSTRONG
Isabelle Armstrong has completely reinvented themselves from starting with a Rock Star beginning to their unfavorable last two seasons, leaving many salons bewildered with the company’s direction. With the introduction of a new designer at the helm providing a new direction in their creative team, we saw an amazing transformation. This season has a forward thinking vision with truly authentic designs. Their daring runway show was pushing the market forward.
New designer Remy Quinones is the essence of the Isabelle Armstrong brand, whose gowns can be described as timeless, romantic, and unique, embracing individuality and fashion trends without sacrificing the label’s signature staples. Luxurious, detail-oriented, and simply splendid, the styles of their 2017 collection promise to deliver each bride feeling confident and elegant—what more could a bride want?
