Berta is known for her artistry and avant-garde style that always keep us on our toes. She uses luxurious fabrics that go through a handmade development process right in her studio, because of this unique process we always see fabulous new textures of fabrics for her designs. Her brand was founded in 2004 and has taken the bridal world by storm ever since. Each bridal gown designed by Berta is truly a work of art, featuring bold, sexy and modern spirits. Berta has more than 20 years of experience in the bridal fashion industry and has over 70 locations worldwide!
Three seasons ago during New York Bridal Fashion Week, we had the distinct pleasure of meeting designer Berta Balilti and Nir Moscovich of the Berta Bridal company. Gracious as always, Berta, was busy with models for our appointment, and Nir was greeting us with this ah-inspiring energy that was contagious. Nir, Global Operations Manager for Berta Bridal, sat with us as we viewed the Berta Bridal collection up close and personal. His knowledge of fabrics and structure is phenomenal. Known for their illusion gowns or as we say in the USA see-thru gowns, they made an enormous statement that they were here and they were going to set the course for future couture style bridal fashions.
Know for their very sleek and embellished silks, you can see a hint of evening gown design and yet distinct characteristic of bridal fashion. We believe it takes a very confident and high style bride to wear these fashions in their first season, but move over they did in their Fall 2017 bridal collection. Illusion still abounds- but in layers of silk, organza, and tulle. The Fall 2017 collection gives you the daring hint of a leg but nothing more protecting their signature silhouettes and yet still offering the very glamorous more red carpet gowns which they are known for throughout the world. When we attend their fashion show twice a year we continue to see their sophisticated style of evening wear tradition to bridal with resounding success and their movement to ball gowns and more subdued A-Lines are welcome by all brides.
The details of hand-sewn crystals, pearls, sequins and rhinestones are so intricately delicate with hundreds of hours spent in pattern development and sewing the up-close look is something to marvel at. Hand stitching thousands of beads on such delicate silk fabrics is an art of the amazing staff at Berta Bridal who create an artistic bridal fashion masterpiece.
