Dennis Basso has been one of the most sought after designers in the industry for nearly three decades. From celebrity to private clients, Basso creates vibrantly fashionable statements that we love! His red carpet inspiration showcases what he calls, “pure glamour” featuring everything from fur to evening wear, bridal gowns (our favorite), and even accessories.
Basso grew up immersed in the fashion industry, as a New Yorker he was intrigued and inspired by the glamorous and chic people and events that surrounded him on a daily basis. He started managing sales and customer service in the retail world, this sparked his interest further and he became a fashion apprentice. Finally, in 1983, Basso was ready to launch his own brand. His unique perspective of using fur in design was seen as a fresh take on fashion and the world loved it! Basso’s most recent brand extension was in 2011 as he launched an exclusive collection of bridal couture for Kleinfeld Bridal Salon in NYC.
A well known name within Neiman Marcus for his evening wear and ready to wear, Dennis has also become a well known name as a couturier in bridal gown fashions. Known for his more traditional silhouettes with wonderful structure and fabrics, Dennis continues on in his Fall 2017 collection. There is always a hint of what we call, “Real Bride” which to us means every element of the silhouette brings together the bride image that many dream about . It’s things such as beading, flowing fabrics and the quint essential veil that seems to top off the silhouette like no other designer.
Dennis Basso is always ahead of the curve in design but remains true to form in style. What is fantastic about Dennis is his ability to appeal to a broad variety of brides from A-lines, Ball Gowns and Fit & Flare. This designs are always timeless while being fresh and trendy, something only a well balanced and classic designer can accomplish.
