The talented creator of Olvi’s, Olga Yermoloff grew up in a small town whereas a little girl she dreamt of creating gowns for princesses. Less than 15 years ago, Olga was browsing a vintage store when a handmade black lace dress caught her eye. She spent all her money on the vintage lace gown, and that is where the inspiration for Olvi’s Lace began! Her brand began as a small atelier in Amsterdam, today Olvi’s is carried in more than 30 countries worldwide. Olga’s first masterpiece was actually her very own wedding gown, where she traveled to a popular city known for its lace fabrics, Collet. There she purchased three different lace fabrics and trimmings. The final product was a stunning V-neck gown with an A-line skirt and a low transparent back. Her love for working with lace and creating hand-made designer pieces shows in every design. As she says, “I get really excited knowing how a woman will feel in a wedding dress that I designed.”
The Fall 2017 collection from Olvi’s is full of lace and romance with a multitude of ethereal detailing. Lace is the essence of each silhouette of Olvi’s, ranging from gowns, dresses, jackets, trousers, sweaters and cardigans. From her passion for lace and other precious garments, Olga’s illusion work gives you the look of mythical detailing by the way the lace seems to float on the garments. Today’s bridal fashions utilized transparent designs and fabrics with strategically placed lace or embellishments, but for Olvi’s the lace and embellishments very much transcend from a bolder area of the gown. Light, airy, and delicate, each silhouette of the collection seems to caress the dainty body not just cover up more discretionary areas of the silhouette. Today Olga’s inspiration comes from many different places including art, nature, and obviously vintage stores. Every Olvi’s garment is made from fine French stretch lace, and a unique lace pattern, designed in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Olvi’s has evolved into a Luxurious Bridal Fashion House, whose designs appeal to the refined woman who is looking for something very special and who dares to make a statement.
