Q: What does Luxe Bridal Couture specialize in?
A: Luxe Bridal specializes in the curvy bride size 14-34 as well as bridesmaids and mothers. We want brides to feel and look beautiful!
Q: What makes Luxe Bridal Couture stand out in terms of bridal gown options?
A: .At Luxe we have over 250 stunning bridal gowns for our curvy brides to try on, all our samples in the store start at a size 16-34 to try on. So our brides are able to try on and see how the dress will fit and feel, no matter what her size.
Q: When did Luxe Bridal Couture open and how did it begin?
A: We opened over 6 1/2 years ago. I opened the store after having my first son, I had been in specialty retail for over 10 years and then in the corporate world for some years after. I had been working on a business plan to open a bridal salon and saw a need for brides of all sizes to have a warm, relaxing bridal shopping experience and excellent selection of gowns for her to try on.
Q: What advice would you give to a bride who is struggling to decide on the perfect wedding day look?
A: I think looking at Pinterest is a great resource but it can be overwhelming also. I think your style and personality should be reflected in your wedding day. So look at your venue and even at your own home.
Q: What would you want bride looking for their perfect gown to know?
A: Come with an open mind our bridal stylist are here to help you in every way, they know how each of our gowns fit and look. We love to style each dress in a different way with accessories to create your own custom look.
Q: Do you have any memorable dress shopping stories you could share with us?
A: We had a bride who came flew all the way from Texas to come to our store and find her dress, she and her fiancé were high school sweethearts and separate before going to college, they lost touch with each other then reconnected via Facebook by a mutual friend. 15 years later they met up for coffee and have not looked back. It was such a sweet story and we were just so flattered she came all that way to visit our store and find the perfect dress for her.
Q: How do you choose the gowns you carry in your store?
A:. Myself and my manager fly to Chicago twice a year and meet with our designers to see the latest fashions. We do also work with one of our designers who flies in 20-30 gowns once a year to our store as a tester set so we can provide feedback on what brides like or don’t like on the gowns. Then the designer makes the selection on what to cut or carry in their line for that season.
