Embassy Suites Bloomington works hard to ensure that every aspect of your wedding is as stress-free as possible. They can help you with everything from ceremony, reception, guest accommodations, rehearsal dinners and so much more! This week we spoke with Allie to learn more about the full service experience Embassy Suites Bloomington offers.
Q: What does Embassy Suites Bloomington specialize in?
A: The Embassy Suites Bloomington specializes in all things wedding… Bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, wedding receptions, and gift openings. If you’re planning a wedding event, we can help you!
Q: What makes Embassy Suites Bloomington stand out in terms of wedding venue options couples have in the Twin Cities area?
A: When we think about planning weddings our biggest focus is to offer convenience to our couples. With this in mind, we’ve created wedding packages that make the planning process easy and stress-free! Plus our convenient location is hard to beat. We want to worry about all the little details so our couples and their families enjoy their special day!
Q: When did Embassy Suites Bloomington open?
A: 1984
Q: If Embassy Suites Bloomington had a personality, what would be three words to describe it?
A: Responsive. Personable. Helpful.
Q: What other activities at the hotel or in the area would you suggest for a bridal party or guests?
A: Your guests that stay at the Embassy Suites get to partake in our evening reception (complimentary drinks and snacks!) each night, as well as enjoy our free cooked-to-order breakfast the next morning.
Q: What do you love about working in the wedding industry?
A: Each and every couple we work with is so unique, and no two weddings are the same. We love how this makes each day different!
Q: What’s an average (wedding day) like at Embassy Suites Bloomington?
A: An average wedding day at the hotel starts with the wedding ceremony (taking place either in the ballroom or open-air atrium), followed by the cocktail hour where drinks and hors d’oeuvres start flowing. Once seated for dinner the guests enjoy their 3 to 4 course meal, and as soon as cake is eaten and toasts are complete we move on to the dancing!
Q: What would you want a couple in the wedding planning process to know about choosing the perfect reception venue?
A: When you’re trying to find your perfect venue, a lot of couples think the look/style of the venue or the location are the most important piece. And for some couples, that’s true. But we recommend thinking about your planning process. Do you want to make this as stress-free as possible? Save yourself time and energy? Consider the whole process leading up to your wedding as well as ease the wedding day itself? These are important items as well.
Q: Other than the reception, how can couples getting married enjoy what Embassy Suites Bloomington has to offer?
A: If your reception is taking place elsewhere, we are still happy to set up a block of guest rooms for you at a discounted rate! You can also consider us for your rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, ceremony, and much more.
Q: If Embassy Suites Bloomington were to create a dream wedding reception what would it look like?
A: A dream wedding for us would be whatever our clients would want. This could be a reception decked out with all of the most amazing decor available… or, it could be very simple and elegant as far as decor goes… with the food being the main focus. But as long as the couple leaves the hotel thinking their wedding was as perfect as they could have asked for… it’s a dream wedding to us!
Q: Have you hosted/coordinated any unique wedding receptions or events that stand out?
A: We love working with different cultural weddings, as these are always over the top and we learn so much each time.
Q: Anything else do you want couples to know about Embassy Suites Bloomington or choosing a wedding related venue?
A: Weddings truly are our favorite events, and we’d welcome you to check us out in your search!
