Actress and Dancing With The Stars judge Julianne Hough and NHL Player Brooks Laich said their “I Do’s” at a lavish outdoor wedding this July. The couple announced their engagement in August of 2015 after a year and a half together and were married on July 8th.
The couple made an unforgettable entrance as they arrived on a power boat. The wedding took place near the Hough family home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on July 8th. The lakeside venue was a summer dream and was a meaningful location for Hough, as she spent most of her summers there growing up. The couple even plans to settle down and raise their family in Coeur d’Alene.
Event planner Troy Williams of Simply Troy Lifestyle + Events executed the magnificent day. The couple’s inspiration for the big day came from a celebration of love and nature. Brooks really wanted and outdoor ceremony and Troy Williams made it happen.
If we had to pick a stand out feature of this celeb wedding it would be the floral. Over 2,000 blooms were used for the décor. Kristen Griffith-VanderYacht of Wild Bloom created magical features that included 100 flower boxes and at least 200 roses for the reception centerpieces. As if the flowers weren’t already the showstopper, the couple donated the flowers to The Full Bloom, a non-profit organization that repurposes event flowers into bouquets for hospital patients.
Julianne had two stunning looks for the big day. For the ceremony, she wore a strapless sweetheart Marchesa gown that featured 37 buttons down the back. This ceremony gown was designed by the dynamic duo, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. The complete look was perfected by Hough’s close friend and stylist Anita Patrickson. Don’t worry, they didn’t forget about something blue. The designers stitched “Custom Marchesa for Julianne” in blue thread!
Julianne set the tone for the party with her second look. The Marchesa designers pulled out all the stops with the three-piece bridal look that included a body suit, tulle skirt and illusion cape. The gown was hand-beaded with thousands of gems including pearls and crystals.
