If you follow us on Instagram, you probably saw an amazing giveaway we did last month with UNVEILED Minneapolis, Flutter Bridal Boutique, and Penny & Pine. We had a lot of brides ask us about this new BRIDAL skincare company, so we wanted to take some time to share the inside scoop with you! We had the chance to chat with Penny & Pine’s creator, Danielle, to learn everything you need to know about this Minnesota-based skincare brand.

Q: What does Penny & Pine specialize in?
A: Penny & Pine specializes in bridal skincare solutions that are fast-acting, good for your skin, and that gives you that coveted bridal glow! We’ve ditched the junk, never test on animals, and have created gentle yet super effective products that actually work.
Q: What makes Penny & Pine stand out in terms of skincare options brides have?
A: At Penny & Pine, we truly care about the ingredients that you’re putting into your body and want our customers to be educated on it as well! We tested our products on dozens of different people, skin types, ages, ethnicities, etc. before committing to anything to ensure we had a collection of products that were safe and healthy for all skin types!
Q: When and how did you decide to create your own skincare brand?
A: As a past bride, I was frustrated by the lack of skincare solutions specifically made for the biggest events of your life! Obviously, there are a million skincare products out there, but I was overwhelmed by the options and had no idea where to start or what to purchase. With all of the expenses of being a bride, I didn’t want to commit $200 to a skincare routine that may or may not work for me.
So I started surveying hundreds of other brides and found that the majority felt the same way! So that’s how Penny & Pine came to be. I wanted to create a line of products that were fast-acting, safe for your skin, affordable, and that provided that glow that everyone is looking for on not only the biggest days of your life, but every day!
Q: What do you think makes bridal skincare different from other skincare routines?
A: It’s really just about the quality and effectiveness. The majority of the products on our line are great for an everyday skincare routine, whether you’re a bride or not. However, we have a few products that are great for getting clear, glowing skin with only a couple uses!
Q: What would you want a bride seeking that bridal glow to know?
A: It really all starts with treating your body from the inside out. Penny and Pine will definitely brighten and clear your complexion, but treating your body well is the most important step! Drink lots of water, practice self-care, and use Transformation Oil.
Q: What is your personal favorite Penny & Pine Product?
A: If you haven’t already guessed, it’s the Transformation Oil, hands down! It’s an all-natural face oil that clears, brightens, and evens out skin. It’s helped to decrease the redness in my face, fight breakouts, and is SUPER hydrating.
Just a little story: I have perioral dermatitis that comes around about once a year and usually lingers for a couple of months until I see a dermatologist who prescribes me a face cream. This past September I got a really bad flare up and figured I’d see if the Transformation Oil could help clear it up. Well, 3 weeks later and you can’t even tell the dermatitis was an issue! I was honestly amazed!
Q: How far in advance should a bride start her skincare routine?
A: EVERYONE should have a solid skincare routine in place, whether you’re a bride or not. However, if you’re a bride-to-be and trying something new, I recommend starting 6 months before the big day!
Q: What is something a bride could incorporate into her skincare routine if her wedding is coming up soon?
A: The Transformation Oil is our fastest acting product, by far, so I would definitely say that! It literally gave me glowing skin overnight. It’s also great for any skin type. And if you’re dealing with blemishes or acne, our Overnight Blemish Relief will help fight off those bad boys in a matter of days.
Q: Tell us a little about the creators of Penny & Pine:
A: As far as the creation of the product line, that would be me! I currently work for The Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul as the Marketing Manager and started working on Penny & Pine shortly after I got married in August of 2017. It was so great being able to use the resources that we had with Wedding Shoppe to survey brides, get employee feedback, and to have such a large audience base to help get the word out!
Other than myself, I have an amazing team that helps with content creation, graphic design, and social media.
