Here are some of the best in our area and why they stand out among the rest.
Rock It Man Entertainment
Not a DJ, not a live band, Rock It Man Entertainment is an interactive experience specializing in dueling pianos and mixes comedy, live music, and entertainment for performances that audiences don’t soon forget. The company’s owner, Jon Li, explains, “We build our shows around the audience’s song requests and we incorporate singalong, dancing, crowd participation, and improv comedy into our shows for an experience you won’t find anywhere else in our industry. While Dueling Pianos is our most popular option, we offer everything from talented Solo musicians to Full Band shows with drums, guitars, bass, saxophone, strings, and more.”
Another one of their strong suits is that with a roster of 94 entertainers they have the ability to cover a wide range of ages, musical backgrounds, and locations (throughout the United States and Canada). For those that want entertainment that is a little less traditional, but certainly a lot of fun, we think this is a great option to consider.
Instant Request
There must be something to Instant Request’s service since they have been named one of the Best by Minnesota Bride Magazine for 14 years and counting. Not only a DJ provider, Instant Request also has an online event planner created by their DJs, which is software that helps customize your experience. Wanting every wedding to be “Customized, Tasteful and Fun,” their approach is to focus on you and the details, rather than just the songs you want to hear.
Level 11
With offices in Minneapolis and New York, Level 11 is equipped to bring your party to “a higher degree.” This entertainment company provides emcees, DJs, musicians, dancers, sound and lighting techs, all with the goal of giving you the most personalized party around. Each of their DJs has at least 5 years of wedding experience before working a Level 11 event, so you know you’re getting a DJ that’s qualified. The folks at Level 11 do warn right on their website that “you get what you pay for” so don’t compare entertainment companies on price alone.
Minnesota Wedding Party
Unlike some companies, Minnesota Wedding Party stands out because it provides a reception host to keep the wedding running smoothly throughout the event. This means if any surprises come up (and let’s face it, they almost always do), you as the couple don’t have to deal with it, and can enjoy your celebration. It also means your event will run smoothly and on time. The host will work with (and not against) the event staff to make sure things go off without a hitch.
