One of the highlights of UNVEILED Rochester is the Trend Wedding Experience. Here, brides-to-be, their fiancés and loved ones witness a fully curated themed experience, which is “bridal eye candy” and is sure to inspire elements for their own special day. Here’s a look at last year’s theme, which displays the talents of Majestic Tents & Events, Ginger P Designs and Power Ventures as they executed a “Coastal Destination” theme.
From the farmhouse chairs and carefully curated linens, to the floral elements of the tables scape and paper products, to the beautiful cake, there was a cool and relaxing feel to the coastal destination theme. Lisa Birdseye of Majestic Tents & Events always enjoys participating, “We always look forward to setting our beautiful sail cloth tent and then we leave it up to The Wedding Guys team to tell us what they need to go under it. It’s always so much fun to see what they come up with! It is always top notch!”
Gina Peterson of Ginger P Designs describes some of the paper elements that were created, “we combined some of the latest trends — dusty blue and greenery — to create beautiful menu cards, table numbers, and place cards for the trend experience.”
Dawn Hodapp, Executive Pastry Chef at the Rochester Event Center, loved working on the coastal destination theme, “This was a super fun theme for us! We don’t often get to do anything “coastal” especially being in a landlocked state. I would say our cake last year was clean and modern with just a little bit of a feminine touch.”
What will they have in store this season? One hint: this year’s theme is Dreamy Woodland, sure to inspire all who see it. Hodapp is excited to bring this new theme to life and inspire all the couples that come to the show, “One of the most exciting and fun things for us is meeting these brides face to face and helping them create this perfect cake (or cookies, pies, cheesecake….any of those fun dessert things) that fits the look they want and shows their personality. The most memorable cakes I’ve had are ones with those little touches inspired exclusively by the bride and groom.”
