Why should you get married in Aruba? The Caribbean has many islands that compete for your attention, but Aruba is great because it’s a wonderful destination wedding spot, as well as a nice place to honeymoon. Whether you’ve dreamed about a beach wedding or just want to find that perfect place to relax when it’s all over, look into Aruba and you’ll see it checks off many desirable boxes.
IDEAL CONDITIONS
One concern many people have when planning an outdoor wedding is the weather. You can’t always predict or plan for perfect conditions, but, as Kim Riddle, of Aruba Tourism Authority, points out, Aruba has great weather, all the time, “Aruba has perfect weather every day – due to our location and constant trade winds. We are located just 15 miles off the coast of South America; close enough to the equator to keep our air and water temperatures warm all winter long and during the summer and fall puts us on the outer fringes of the hurricane belt. We only receive 16-20 inches of rainfall per year and our constant trade winds keep the temperatures in the mid-80s, humidity low, and of course those rain clouds away.”
PRIVACY MEANS EXCLUSIVITY
“With regards to weddings themselves; all but two of our resorts only offer one wedding a day; to ensure [that the staff] are able to provide all the attention to the [couple that they] need and deserve on this special day.” Riddle points out. And by having only one affair daily, the planners and experts at Aruba wedding venues avoid “cookie-cutter” celebrations.
SAFETY, VARIETY AND EASY ACCESS
Riddle also explains other unique aspects of why you may want to get married in Aruba, “Aruba is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean, with the locals speaking 4 languages in order to graduate from high school. We are also a small island easy to get around (only 70 square miles – 19 ½ mi long by 6 miles wide). Because of this, couples are not limited to the resort for their wedding needs which opens up more locations for the wedding, reception.”
SUN, SURF, SPA AND MORE
From gorgeous beaches and plenty of opportunities for various water sports, relaxation, and a variety of dining options, there are so many reasons to honeymoon or get married in Aruba.
