More than ever before couples strive to make receptions that are fun for their guests. Vendors keep pushing their limits of creativity and now Kirk Holslin of Imagine Lights, tells us about a new dance floor you have to see with built-in lights that will get everyone off their chairs.

WHAT IS A LED PIXEL FLOOR?
“There are a couple of primary differences between a traditional wooden parquet dance floor and our LED pixel floor,“ says Holslin. “The most obvious difference is the built-in lighting. The LED pixel floor can create a starlit or twinkle effect for weddings as well as fun, colorful patterns that move across the floor for dance parties. The second difference is the dance floor surface. The LED pixel floor surface is a tough, white glossy acrylic compared to the standard wooden parquet floors. This gives our clients another option to help decorate a space for an event.”
While these LED floors do require electricity, when using Imagine Lights, a technician would be onsite during your event to ensure proper lighting transitions.
AN ELEVATED EXPERIENCE
Holslin tells us only a few wedding attendees have seen this new technology-enhanced by the clean white look of the acrylic surface, and his LED pixel floor is the only one of its kind in the upper Midwest. “As the newlyweds’ step onto the pixel dance floor for their first dance, their family and friends witness a once-in-a-lifetime moment as the couple dances across a starlit dance floor.”

SPECIFICATIONS OF THE NEW DANCE FLOOR
Only available for events that are inside, the floor needs a solid level surface. The floor has sizing options ranging from 16×20 to 28×28, and Holslin tells us, “The most common dance floor sizes are 20×20, 20×24, and 24×24.” And the colors and patterns of LED pixel floor number in the thousands. Keep in mind that this specialized floor does require a bit more load-in time, but the setup can take about an hour. “We partner with our industry peers to ensure that event timelines are kept and that there are no surprises,” says Holslin.
It should also be noted that there is a price difference between a regular wooden parquet dance floor and the LED pixel dance floor, and pricing is based on the size of the dance floor and the delivery distance. These are the kinds of questions you can have answered at UNVEILED-The Ultimate Wedding Planning Event, where the new dance floor will be presented to guests that we are sure will be wowed by what they see. “Unveiled attendees can expect to see a premium white dance floor that blends seamlessly into a space with style and grace. When the moment is right, they can witness the transition to the starlit effect and envision a first dance upon the stars. There will be other transitions to the party floor as well.”
