Q: Let’s get to it, what’s your business’ specialty?
A: Wedding photography
Q: Where can we find you?
A: Faribault, MN. About 30 minutes south of the Twin Cities
Q: Tell us when and how your business began.
A: The first wedding I captured was when I was 18! Yes, 18 you read that right… After about 7 years of taking a break and moving around the country for my husband’s job I got back to what I love to do.
Q: What makes Liz Marie Photography unique from others?
A: I treat every wedding as if it were my own. I fix your dress, I wipe the sweat from your face with my own shirt, I fix your hair, you name it I do it. I try to go above and beyond to keep the day running smoothly and to help deter any of the small hiccups that come up.
Q: How long have you been in the industry? What do you think has changed the most since then?
A: 10+ years. What has changed the most since I started is the attention to detail all the couples put into their day.
Q: What would you want couples searching for wedding photography needs to know?
A: Not every photographer is the right photographer for you. Book a photographer who you connect with, and can have a good laugh with. If you can’t talk to your photographer and be yourself, then they are probably not the right fit for you.
Q: How far in advance should a couple book with you?
A: At the moment I am currently a year + out with limited availability for 2022.
Q: What’s one wedding trend you wouldn’t be sad to see fade out?
A: BURLAP!!!
Q: What’s trending in wedding photography and videography right now?
A: Most of the weddings I am seeing are much more informal and are taking place in smaller settings due to Covid. Also, many couples are open to the idea of a first look. Couples who are doing this love getting to seeing each other for the first time without an audience.
Q: Describe your photography/videography style.
A: Classic, timeless, and bold.
Q: Do you ever travel to shoot weddings? If so, what has been your favorite destination so far?
A: Yes, I travel all the time. There are so many good destination weddings I have done. Two of my favorites have been Florida and Colorado.
Q: What are your hobbies and passions when you’re not behind the camera?
A: I am in love with snowstorms. Sitting in a snowstorm is one of the most peaceful things to mean. Also spending time playing with my kids and husband at the lake or at our farm.
