Let’s face it, we’ve all been home a lot with the pandemic, and while for some couples a nice romantic dinner is all they want for Valentine’s Day, for others, a more interactive approach is more exciting. For those, we’ve got good news! There are fun experiences for Valentine’s Day that aren’t dinner. Enjoy with your partner or your besties for a girls’ night in.
SCHRAM VINEYARDS
The folks at Schram Vineyards have experiences for Valentine’s Day catering to the partnered as well as those looking for a fun Galentine’s event. In fact, their Galentine’s event is so popular, the 1st one sold out and there is another date in the works. It’s a rom-com trivia night with rosé, so get your gal pals and check this out for more info.
For couples, their Valentine’s seated tasting event for couples is on February 13th and 14th. Check their site for time options, but you won’t want to miss their wine tastings in the Barrel Room which are offered with small bite cheeses or chocolates, all guided by wine pros.
CHOWGIRLS
Chowgirls is offering a virtual wine pairing experience. Partnering with Central Ave Liquors and sommelier Angie Heitz, the Valentine’s Day event is at 4 pm via Zoom.
Order the Chowgirls Cheese or Cheese & Charcuterie Box, pick up Angie’s three spectacular wine pairing choices from Central Ave Liquors, and sign on for the event that is hosted by Chowgirls founders Heidi Andermack and Amy Brown. “We’ll walk you through the pairing experience with some great wines from around the world, our local cheeses and meats, and other Chowgirls favorites. Bring a date and join us for this informative and truly fun party. Best of all, a portion of the sales from our virtual event will go to Minnesota Central Kitchen, helping to feed those in need here in the Twin Cities and elsewhere in the state,” explains the folks at Chowgirls.
Chowgirls
The cheese box has a number of gourmet options from Shepherd’s Farm Big Woods Blue, to Bent River Camembert among others, and includes Southern Spiced Pecans, Rosemary, Lemon & Maple Cashews, Jam, Mushroom Pate, Honey, crackers, dried fruit, and more. The Cheese & Charcuterie box has cheeses as well as Red Table Meat’s “Chet” salami, Molinari Coppa, and LaQuercia prosciutto. Both of these options are packed in a Box for Two or, for those celebrating Galentine’s Day, in a “Treat Yourself” personal-size pack.
THE VINE ROOM
The Vine Room will be offering a sweet & savory Valentine’s Day-inspired cheese & charcuterie board and wine tasting flights. Orders can be placed here. All of the boards & bites are available to-go and they conveniently have a bottle shop next door (The Vine Shop) for wine to take home.
CARLOS CREEK WINERY

LEGACY CHOCOLATES
Legacy Chocolates
Experiences for Valentine’s Day don’t have to include alcohol. Legacy Chocolates has assorted delicious treats just perfect for the holiday. Their 6-pack box of assorted truffles or assorted chocolate bark can also be paired with wine, or enjoyed on its own.
We have plenty of other ideas for date nights at home, which can be for Valentine’s Day or any night of the year.
