We’ve seen the latest gowns from New York Bridal Fashion Week and this season they were as outstanding as always. With all of the romanticism, modernity, and classic styles presented, there were bridal fashions for every type of bride. Here are 5 bridal fashion trends for 2022 we spotted from all of the collections.
Bridal Fashion Trends: BIG BOLD BOWS
The bow isn’t new to bridal fashion but this season we’re seeing big, grand bows that really make a statement. Sure, tiny romantic bows are soft and sweet, but the 2022 bow is bold and beautiful. So many designers chose to make this detail an embellishment we won’t soon forget. Everyone from Sareh Nouri to Liz Martinez and Jesus Peiro created pretty gowns with bows.
Bridal Fashion Trends: ARCHITECTURAL LINES
Some designers are known for their architectural details, like Peter Langner, who often incorporates modern architectural details in his gorgeous gowns. This season we’re seeing other designers showcase their knowledge of lines to create gowns for the most modern bride.

Bridal Fashion Trends: PLEATED TULLE
Tulle has been a bridal fabric for as long as we can remember. But the new take on tulle is pleated, and we’re seeing it everywhere. From skirts to shawls, this modern treatment of an otherwise mainstay fabric is contemporary in the best possible sense.
Bridal Fashion Trends: “LIQUID” SATIN
We’re calling this trend liquid satin. Why? While satin has always been used in wedding gowns (recall the classic satin ball gowns of princesses) the new satin is being used for more form-fitting gowns, and the result is totally sexy. The manipulation of fabric looks like liquid, poured on the bride for alluring looks that are still special.

Bridal Fashion Trends: THE BRIDAL BLAZER
Sometimes there is a smattering of bridal suits but this season we saw bridal blazers for the contemporary bride unafraid of her sense of style. Whether paired with a gown or worn as its own mini of sorts, the bridal blazer was seen in so many variations that we think it will soon be a bridal fashion mainstay.
