Another important thing to consider when ring shopping is to think about longevity, “Will I like this material or color in 20-30 years?” Nogai also says to ask your jeweler about the types of metals you are considering to know if they can be resized “Usually, our finger size will change several times over the next 20 years. Not every material can be sized again.”

This way each ring, the engagement ring and the wedding bands, have their own personality and stand out as being different, versus the traditional everything blending together.”
We know that trends are cyclical, returning every 30 years or so and that is true with a classic men’s band. “Many guys are choosing old school rings meaning wedding bands like their father’s wedding band and in yellow gold. Guys like the color and retro style — they grew up seeing that wedding band their father wore every day and have wanted that for themselves to be like their dad,” says Nogai.
