Have you ever thought about getting married at a distillery? Tattersall Event Center and Distillery has 75,000 square feet of gorgeous venue space including separate ceremony and reception sites, getting-ready suites, and rehearsal dinner accommodations. This new venue is just east of the Twin Cities and is the perfect destination for your day! We talked to Christie Forciea of the Sales & Catering team at the distillery and she tells us all about their impeccable offerings and what she loves about weddings.
Q: Let’s get to it, what’s your business’ specialty?
A: At Tattersall Event Center and Distillery, we have the perfect space to customize a wedding day for the Bride and Groom that will be remembered by friends and family for years to come!
The gorgeous event space accommodates up to 420 seated guests, while our expansive outdoor amphitheater can be utilized for romantic ceremonies, outdoor receptions, and game space. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our private barrel rooms, boardrooms and of course the Bridal Suite specially built with the bride and her wedding party in mind. Don’t worry gentlemen, we didn’t forget you! We have a dedicated club room for you to enjoy.
Tattersall Distillery in River Falls is the perfect place to host a wedding celebration or corporate event of any size.
Q: Where can we find you?
A: 1777 Paulson Road, River Falls Wisconsin
Q: Tell us when and how your business began.
A: 2 childhood friends reconnecting over their love of great cocktails and entrepreneurial mindset took their distinct backgrounds and brought their dream alive creating highly sought-after spirits and incorporating an event center that will delight your soul.
Q: What makes your Tattersall Event Center and Distillery unique from others?
A: From the ownership to the staff, you will find passionate driven individuals who want to do the right thing, are committed to being the best and love to anticipate the needs of the guest before the guest knows what they need.
Q: How long have you been in the industry? What do you think has changed the most since then?
A: Starting in the industry in 1985 has brought about a lot of changes in planning events. I would say the thing that has changed the most is how involved the groom has become in planning the big day. It is awesome working with both the bride and groom instead of just the bride and the mother of the bride.
Q: Walk us through your average workday.
A: My workday begins before my feet hit the floor. I believe in responding to phone calls and emails within 12 hours. I want my clients to know that they are on the top of my priority list even if their event is months or years down the road. When I get into the office the catering team meets and we discuss the décor and execution of the next event and then they are off to set. Each event receives multiple touches from every side of the event team to make sure we are delivering our best to each client.
When the food and beverage are set for the event, I provide the final touches/rearrange décor and “futz” until it feels perfect. Before I leave for the night, I create my to-do list for the next day and we start all over. I walk out of the building all smiles and filled with appreciation for the great team we have at Tattersall.
Q: What would you want couples searching for your business type to know?
A: You are the top priority to our team, and you will not be disappointed! We love going above and creating a wedding beyond your wildest dreams.
Q: How far in advance should a couple book with you?
A: Our event center opened in December 2020. We have had weddings book with as little as 3 months’ notice, and we have weddings booked into 2024. I do not see our wedding volume slowing down so I would book a tour, meet the team, and enjoy a few appetizers and delicious cocktails with us while we show you what we are about and what we can do for you.
Q: What is the history behind your venue?
A: I touched on it earlier, but the friendship of two men created the vision of Tattersall. When they decided to purchase an old ShopKo building in River Falls, WI, they created a partnership with Morrissey Hospitality to assist in the design of the food and beverage spaces. They give credit to Keith Reardon for being a visionary to the rebirth of the event spaces.
Q: What’s one wedding trend you’d like to see fade away?
A: I am laughing as I am typing this! Pinterest! f the product on Pinterest could turn out as great as the pictures, I would be in love with it too. I have seen a lot of wedding couples stressed because the décor did not look anywhere near the picture, and it often costs more in time, stress, and money than purchasing the look you are trying to achieve from a vendor.
Q: What is the biggest crowd-pleaser at Tattersall Event Center and Distillery?
A: If I can only choose one thing, I will say atmosphere. Atmosphere covers the building, the staff, and the art of the food and beverage selections. They are all amazing.
Q: What are your other hobbies and passions besides creating beautiful wedding days?
A: I love spending time with God, my husband, our dogs, his children, reading, fishing, traveling, and cooking.
LIGHTNING ROUND!
Q: Duck Duck Grey Duck or Duck Duck Goose?
A: Grey Duck!
Q: Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall Wedding?
A: For me … Winter in Playa Del Carmen
Q: Veil or no veil?
A: Veil
Q: Mountains or Beach?
A: Beach all the way!
Q: Chocolate or Vanilla?
A: Chocolate
Q: Go-to comfort food?
A: Pizza
Q: Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
A: Playa Del Carmen
Q: What show are you binging right now?
A: Billy the Kid (my husband’s turn to pick the show) but it is pretty good.
Q: Go-to cocktail (or mocktail)?
A: If I am at Tattersall, I love drinking the Kinni 75 or Pink Slip although I am not opposed to a nightcap of Bourbon that exclusive members of the cask club can only enjoy. If I am at home — a nice glass of wine. And when in Mexico… Tequila!
