Giovanna Battaglia’s chic wedding day style left us speechless. From the dramatic Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown to the couple’s seven-tiered wedding cake, oh and did we mention the seaside Capri Location… we just can’t get enough!
For those of you who don’t know, Giovanna Battaglia leapt into the fashion scene at a young age and quickly became a recognizable face as a model for the D&G fashion force. At the age of 28 she transitioned to the business side of the fashion world and became the editor of L’Uomo Vogue, a freelance stylist and a contributing fashion editor for W magazine. Giovanna is well known for her risk taking fashion choices and we love how she kept this consistent for her wedding day looks (yes we said looks, plural!).
Giovanna’s entire wedding weekend wardrobe has us updating all of our bridal fashion dreams. The Italian stylist wowed us with her three daring and fashionable looks for her big weekend. The fashion festivities kicked off at Piazza Umberto with her Alaia dress featuring a tiered feather ankle-length skirt and large bell sleeves. This look was amazing but don’t worry It didn’t even come close to outshining the jaw dropping Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown she wore the following evening. Giovanna walked down the aisle on the oceanfront lawn of Punta Carena lighthouse in a gown featuring a magnificently detailed bodice with a full-skirt and endless train. Can you say Italian Chic or what!?
The fashion editor then underwent a wardrobe change before the festivities continued at the reception, and the style just kept getting better. Giovanna appeared in her third look, a Giambattista Valli dress. If the dress wasn’t enough, her lacy Manolo Blahnik thigh-high boots sure did the trick!
These three show stopping bridal looks left us craving more Giovanna Battaglia styling! From the bell sleeves of her rehearsal dinner look, to the major train all the way to the thigh high lace boots, ciao to Giovannia’s super chic Capri wedding style!
