Biography
Well, Hello! I’m Wedding Guy, Matthew Trettel and I’m OBSESSED with weddings. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work in the industry in so many capacities; from designing the press fashion shows for New York’s Bridal Fashion Week, to covering the ins-and-outs of the Royal Wedding of William and Kate for international media outlets. Yes, being a Wedding Guy is as glamorous as it sounds. LOL!
I’ve spent 25 years bringing the latest trends to wedding planning couples and helping wedding businesses shine through live-event experiences, print marketing, and digital features. I have a passion for retail design, visual merchandising, and guest experience. So, when I travel you’ll likely find me scoping out experiences at department stores, visual concepts at trendy boutiques, or taking in my favorite experiences – live theatre. I blend these into my work in the world of weddings and that’s why when you visit our bridal shows, you find an unexpected visual wonderland unlike anything else.
I’ve been tapped for some amazing adventures including developing and producing the TLC series ‘Randy to the Rescue’ and throwing on my design hat as Art Director for the series ‘Say Yes to the Dress America’ as the designer of “America’s Aisle”.
Twice a year I travel to Bridal Fashion Week to curate the best fashions for our blog and connect with designer friends from around the globe. Fashion is another passion and trust me, I’ve seen EVERYTHING in the past 25 years! The last several years have hit a high point in bridal design and it’s been fun to watch how much weddings have changed over the years.
