When I was a kid, my sisters and I would spend hours playing a game we called “house.” We would build forts out of the kitchen chairs and blankets, and then pretend to be homeowners. The number of “meals” that I cooked in those forts probably outnumbers the ones that I have actually cooked in my adult life. I was obsessed with homes back then, and I still am today.
