Job Description - Account Executive

The Wedding Guys, Inc. seeks an energetic, goal oriented, reliable, and effective Account
Executive to join our team at our office in the bustling Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood.

Full-time position with a salary range of $50K – $80K + uncapped comission

What you’ll be doing…
The Account Executive is responsible for cultivating clients through prospecting new
businesses to secure the sale of exhibit space(s), print ads, and/or web advertising. The
ideal candidate will be a proven sales professional who possesses the ability to cultivate
fruitful relationships, actively represent The Wedding Guys® brand, possesses a desire to
help clients find the best marketing avenue for success, and is self-motivated to succeed.
This person should have knowledge of the wedding/special event industry and enjoy the
hands-on aspect of being part of a small business.

A Typical Day might include the following…
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of our different brand offerings, demographics,
online website statistics, and print marketing philosophy and effectively sell to
prospective clients through both inbound and cold call sales
• Actively build and solicit new business opportunities by actively seeking out clients
through networking, online searches, social media, and management of inbound
inquiries
• Follow-up with warm leads and inbound inquiries, both new and existing accounts as
assigned
• Track actual sales through effective use of CRM tools and forecast future sales
through prospect communications
• Work with businesses to identify the best marketing fit for their business and goals
• Prepare presentations, marketing proposals, and contracts
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to pave the way for additional, future
sales
• Utilize the existing client database, FileMaker, to track communications, follow-up
timelines, advertising history, and sales
• Represent our company brand at networking and industry events
• Establish and maintain relationships with our client base, including identifying and
resolving client concerns
• Work together with General Manager to ensure signed contracts are received
• Other duties as assigned.

You Have…
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with outside sales and/or marketing, and a proven
track record of closing sales
• Proven experience selling high-end or luxury products
• Financially driven individual that is excited by the chance to make uncapped
commission.
• Strong listening and presentation skills, outstanding verbal and written
communication skills with a polished in-person presence
• Excellent customer service skills and a desire to help clients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, passionate, and hard-working
environment
• A true self-starter who can be independently successful and a part of a strong team
culture
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, manage time, resources and be
accountable for decisions and effectiveness
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

You might also have…
• Cold calling and telemarketing experience desirable, but not required
• Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred (Business Administration,
Marketing, Advertising, etc.); or relevant work experience
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, Mac, and Gmail; Ability to
learn software quickly including FileMaker
• Possess strong existing client/industry relationship which you may utilize to develop
sales in a bonus
