Anne Barge began her company in January of 1999. From the start, her designs have been known for the combination of timeless elegance and up-to-date trendiness. She prides herself on designing gowns that perfectly blend contemporary and classic style while using the best materials she can get her hands on. The gowns often feature beautiful beading and embellishments that emulate a vintage couture design. To ensure a bride gets exactly what she has dreamt for her wedding day, she has three distinct collections- Anne Barge Couture, Black Label and Blue Willow Bride. Anne’s design philosophy is simple; “good design is timeless” and we believe she has done a fabulous job of turning our favorite trends into timeless masterpieces.
Over many years Anne Barge has become known for her sophisticated designs. Her gowns are perfectly suited for the completely stylized bride; she always designs suitably. With the forever-changing landscape in bridal fashion over the years, Anne has always risen to the pinnacle of bridal fashion no matter what the challenge. This season’s designs showcase the increasing silhouette for revealing illusion gowns. Anne’s Fall 2017 collection takes a nod from the glamorous Ziegfeld Follies girls as her inspiration, saying that though they were skimpily attired, they retained some “ladylike refinement” a style forever embraced by Anne Barge.
Elegance and glamour, in a time-honored vision, is Anne’s answer to today’s mirage silhouettes. Anne’s collection showcases ethereal styles, allowing brides the opportunity to be fashion-forward while remaining traditional. Known for her regal ball gown, this collection offered a lacy top and voluminous skirt keeping in line with new bridal fashion trends. As an alternative one can use a shorter skirt for the reception or dance. Always a southern lady, Anne is pure bridal in fashion design no matter what the trend. Her finale gown echoed this with her gorgeous ball gown of class and refinement.
