We saw a wide variety of silhouettes this year, including pants and even leggings that continue to intrigue the daring bride. The traditional bride would be pleased to see the mermaid gowns with overskirts and classic ball gowns with flowing capes and long trains. There seems to be a clear cut when it comes to what’s IN and what’s OUT for this coming season. IN is the simple lines, sophisticated and reserved classic style with lace and embellished embroidery that includes multiple layers of fabric. OUT is the see-through illusion gowns. From the bodice to the skirt, the ultra-sexy bride is a little too out-there for most designers who are opting to embrace a more dignified sexy look this season.

The fresh open mind on bridal fashion will give you increased inspiration for your authentic wedding day look. A popular silhouette over the years has been the ball gown and the A-line gown, a staple in the wedding gown industry. At one point it seemed as if the more classic look yielded to the fit and flare and mermaid gowns becoming the newest craze. This season, we continue to see fuller A-line gowns in organza and tulle with multiple layers of glittery embellished fabrics.
