Not only does this local photographer shoot beautiful wedding images, but they provide other services for your day, too! Dempag Photography wants to make sure your wedding day is seamless and captured just as you remember it.
We talked to owner Yale about why he loves what he does, what his favorite destinations are, and more. Meet him at Twin Cities Bridal Show Sunday, September 27th, and keep scrolling to learn more about their multi-service offerings!

Q: Let’s get to it, what’s your business’ specialty?
A: Total Event Packages (Photography, DJ, and Photo Booth)
Q: Where can we find you?
A: We are based in Minneapolis but travel the world.
Q: Tell us when and how your business began.
A: When my job wanted me to move, I decided that it was time to do what I love (and what I did to put myself through school) …weddings! Looking back, it seems like many years ago, and it was.
Q: What makes your company unique from others?
A: We are a multi-service company and put together the entire wedding for couples. Photography, Video, DJ, Photo Booths, and new for 2020 is the Dempag Party Bus. We make things very easy for clients without the stress of dealing with multiple vendors.
Q: How long have you been in the industry? What do you think has changed the most since then?
A: I’ve been doing weddings for over 20 years. I remember using cassette tapes. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get songs ready quickly using cassette tapes? When the age of CD’s arrived, I was so happy! The digital age had me jumping for joy…and carrying less around with me! Goodbye cases of tapes or CD’s.

Q: Walk us through your average day.
A: My typical day begins with answering any emails I received during the night. I think some couples lay in bed at night and do planning together. Sounds like a good way for both to participate in the planning. Then I head to the gym for my morning workout. Back to eat and then dive into any editing or marketing I need to get done. Working for yourself means always staying motivated and disciplined.
Q: What would you want couples searching for your business type to know?
A: We LOVE weddings; everything about weddings. And we know how to make sure that their day will go smoothly just as they envisioned it. Yes, the photos will be amazing. Yes, the reception will be so much fun. Yes, we will take away the stress and do our part in making sure everyone has a great time from start to finish.

Q: How far in advance should a couple book with you?
A: We are booked a year in advance as our Total Event Packages are wildly popular.
Q: What’s one wedding trend you’re over?
A: The Dollar Dance. It’s such a reception killer and most people really don’t even like it.
Q: What’s hot in wedding photography and videography right now?
A: In my opinion, cinematic photography. Couples want something amazing, unique to only them. Not your basic “we stood there and posed”. They want WOW!
Q: Describe your photography/videography style.
A: Fun. I have FUN with my clients and push them beyond their comfort zones and that is where we create something special and lasting. Art.

Q: Do you ever travel to shoot weddings? If so, what has been your favorite destination so far?
A: I have traveled the globe and by far my favorite place is the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand. Although, the Philippines has some pretty amazing places as well.
Q: What are your hobbies and passions when you’re not behind the camera?
A: I am an adventurer and love the thrill of new things. So being outdoors, especially the beach and scuba diving!!!
LIGHTNING ROUND!
Q: Duck Duck Grey Duck or Duck Duck Goose?
A: Grey Duck!
Q: Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall Wedding?
A: Fall is beautiful with so many colors
Q: Veil or no veil?
A: Give me a LONG veil but no wind!
Q: Mountains or Beach?
A: As much as I love the beach, the photos can all be the same after a while, so I’ll take the mountains for breathtaking photos.
Q: Chocolate or Vanilla?
A: Have to have my chocolate
Q: Go-to comfort food?
A: Jelly Bellys
Q: What show are you binging right now?
A: Queen of the South. Soooo good!
Q: Go-to cocktail (or mocktail)?
A: Not much of a drinker but I do love an occasional margarita.
