Weddings took a turn in 2020 and 2021 as we saw micro weddings explode! Pop-Up Weddings was born during this time to assist couples who want to host a small ceremony and reception but don’t want to skimp on the details and elegance. Meet the founder, Brooke Beise, a wedding industry veteran who is excited to help you easily plan your day.

Q: Let’s get to it, what’s your business’ specialty?
A: We specialize in and exclusively offer all-inclusive intimate micro wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours (usually 30 guests or less). Everything is done for you — simply choose the date and time from one of our inspiring venue partners and bring your guests (seriously it is that easy).
Q: Where can we find you?
A: I am out of my home office, but I can Zoom anytime or a coffee date during more normal times.
Q: Tell us when and how Pop-Up Weddings began.
A: I launched this business in September of 2020. I always thought there had to be a happy medium between a courthouse wedding and a full reception. This pandemic gave me the perfect opportunity to just hit the ground running. I knew I could really utilize the wonderful relationships I have in the wedding industry as well.
Q: What makes your company unique from others?
A: We are very niche and specific. The fact that we hand everything to our couples on a silver platter is a completely new concept this year. The venue + officiant, personal floral + décor & styling, cake + bubbly toast, and photo + video are already expertly handled.
Q: How long have you been in the industry? What do you think has changed the most since then?
A: I worked for over 12 years on the venue side of things as a Catering Sales Manager walking couples and their families through every detail of the day. I think the most exciting thing now is there isn’t this sense of “my wedding needs to be a certain way” but rather there is more of a mindset of “this is what would be really special for my partner and I want to make it happen.” Basically, all rules are out the window and I am here for it!
“Basically, all rules are out the window and I am here for it!”
Q: Walk us through your average workday.
A: There is a lot of social media, emailing, tours of venues along with conversations, and brainstorming with other friends in the wedding business. I am looking forward to really learning what “average” will look like as things progress this year and next.
Q: What would you want couples searching for your business type to know?
A: The perfect Pop-Up Weddings couple 1) Wants to get married with only their absolute closest friends and family 2) Wants to focus on celebrating their marriage instead of playing phone tag and email back and forth with vendors and trusts that we are professionals who work with professionals 3) Loves inspiring venues as much as we do.
Q: How far in advance should a couple book with you?
A: Being we have limited venues and times, ASAP! In general, we introduce our new dates about 3 to 9 months out.
Q: What kind of weddings do you like the most?
A: Small, intimate weddings of course that allow for as much social time as possible.
Q: What trends do you think we’ll see more of in 2021?
A: More smaller micro weddings but also I think more home-like feeling with living room style pockets of furniture set up and even mismatched furnishings.
Q: What is your current favorite color combination?
A: Black and White (chic)
LIGHTNING ROUND!
Q: Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
A: New York
Q: Who’s your most played artist on your streaming service?
A: Anything Christmas right now 😊
Q: Heels or flats?
A: Heels, I need ALL the height I can get.
Q: Mountains or Beach?
A: Mountains
Q: Go-to cocktail (or mocktail)?
A: Jameson Ginger
Q: When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: Business Owner of some kind.
Q: You’re at brunch. Are you going for something sweet or savory?
A: Savory, but first a mimosa. Brunch is always a good idea.
Q: Go-to comfort food?
A: Macaroni and cheese
Q: Duck Duck Grey Duck or Duck Duck Goose?
A: Duck Duck Grey Duck for sure. I loved playing this growing up but had to be with a bucket of water instead of a tap on the head to get chosen!
Brooke has specific dates and limited slots available so be sure to reach out to her now!
