You’ve sent out your invites with your custom monogram and pretty details, but how else can you incorporate them into your wedding? We talked to Ginger P. Designs and Epitome Papers about wedding signage ideas to not forget about on your wedding day.
“Seating charts, menus, bar signs, thank you, place cards, directions, welcome signs are all items that serve a dual purpose at your wedding: they are extremely helpful and informative for your guests AND are a way to add a fun pop of color or coordination to your wedding look,” says Gina Peterson of Ginger P. Designs.
THE WELCOME SIGN
First up in our wedding signage ideas is the “Welcome Sign”. According to Epitome Papers, “Welcome Signs are such a fun and great way to set the tone of the wedding right when your guests walk in,” explains owner Evelyn Miller. “This also is a client favorite for us as they love to have it as a keepsake afterward. As with all our signage, we love incorporating the design and theme of your wedding invitation suite!”

PROGRAMS
Wedding ceremony programs aren’t always necessary, but are nice for guests to have when they ask “who’s their maid of honor?” or “I love this song! What is it?” It also makes for an adorable keepsake to look back on.

ESCORT CARDS + SEATING CHARTS
These display cards are a fun way to welcome guests and help find their seat! Both Miller and Peterson have fun and alternative ways to showcase these displays. “We love when clients get creative such as having their escort cards on drinking straws in a cute little wine can,” says Miller of this unique display. If you have a large wedding guest count, a large-scale seating chart is also a great wedding signage idea.

MENUS
Add a pop of color and texture to your design with an eye-catching menu sign. Plus, this can help cut down on paper in other areas! “Setting up one or two of these signs in your dining hall lets your guests know what’s on the menu but keeps extra paper off of your table,” Miller describes. And if you do decide to add menus to each place setting, think about using simple white tableware and adding contrast with black paper and a gold foil font like this one.

TABLE NUMBERS
Table numbers are not a new wedding signage idea, but we have fun ways to play it up! Miller’s advice is to “keep them fun and decorative by matching your other day of printing and wedding invitation!” So skip the simple single number and include some of your “wedding brand”. You could also use an acrylic material with a metallic flair to create a clean look.

BAR SIGNS
Who doesn’t love a custom bar sign at a wedding? Oftentimes the bar is the focal point of the party, so this is a great opportunity to showcase your signature cocktail(s) with style. Throw in some glam with a custom bar front graphic that’s sure to have your guests Instagramming.

DESSERT TABLE
If you’re having a variety of cupcakes, donuts, or an array of desserts, help guests find their favorite flavor! “I am all about puns, and the food table is a great place to get a little chuckle out of your guests,” says Miller. “Dessert and food signage can be fun and creative! Chalkboard calligraphy, fun patterns, and frames, there are lots of ways to spice it up!”

CREATIVE COMBINATIONS
“If you don’t want too many pieces on your table, then combining items is a great way to cut down but have the info your guests need,” suggests Miller. “This table number/menu combo was a new one for us this year. With a thicker cardstock and double-sided printing, it’s a great way for your guests to know where to go AND what the good eats will be all in one.”
A few other fun wedding sign ideas include booklets for guests to fill out to read on your anniversary and a sparkler send-off card!
